More rescues

My love for animals goes back to my childhood. Here are a few of the animals I have rescued over the years.

                        Animal Rescuer's Creed

I'll never bring about world peace, I'll never single handedly save the rain forest. I'm not a brain surgeon and I'll never transplant an organ to save a life. I don't have the ear of a powerful politician or world power. I can't end world hunger. I'm not a celebrity, and God knows I'm not glamorous! I'm not looked up to by millions around the world. Very few people even recognize my name. I'll never win the Nobel prize or end global warming. There are alot of things I'll never do or become. But I helped place an animal! They were small, scared, bundles of flesh and fur that were dumped at a shelter, or on the streets by unfeeling people who didn't care what happened to them, but yet who were responsible for them having existence in the first place! I made a difference! And I'll do it tomorrow, too, if given a chance.

This is BoBo, he was pulled from a killer shelter with only hours to live. BoBo was HW positive and was treated. He was also neutered. He carried a cough from the heartworms but otherwise a happy boy. He stayed here and lived to be 11.5 years. We lost him Memorial Day 2009.

Hemi, we were told she was a Mastiff/Rott mix. We only had her for a few short days before she passed over Rainbow Bridge from Parvo. Our vet ( at the time ) tested her for parvo. The test came back negative. Two days later she was gone.

This little baby's Mother was left behind when our neighbors moved out. He ran through our front door when I was on my way out for work. Very thin and covered in fleas. Took several baths and two hours of flea picking to get all the fleas off of him. We hope to find him a great home! if not he will stay here. Sept 2011.

This is Goatee, he was found along a dirt road out in the country with four of his siblings. We kept him and found wonderful homes for his siblings.

Smokey and Itty Bitty, both are still here with us.Itty Bitty was found just down the road from our home. Her eyes were matted shut and was heading for a busy street. My son Brandon was feeding Smokey for weeks before he told us about him.

Nikko is our Military Macaw, and Silly Bird our Umbrella Cockatoo. When we went to go see about Nikko, she was in a locked cage because she would open the door and get out. The owners had no idea where the key was for the lock. She was also outside in a breezeway in November!Gary cut the lock and she now lives here with her best bud, Silly Bird.
